So I go into the sprite caves to train light thrown and Im wearing no armor and no shield. Evasion is my main defense and I have a capped cast of Seers sense and Sphere of protection on

Evasion: 168 49.85% clear

Strength : 35 Reflex : 35

I started without a single scratch on me.

Your black cage writhes.

Yavash and Xibar are dominant, while Katamba's influence is moderate.
Psychic Projection and Stellar Magic spells are favored.
Your black moonbeam should last at least five more anlaen or until Katamba sets.
You sense that it's dawn.
You sense the Distant Gaze spell upon you, which should last until you lose your moonbeam or RELEASE GAZE.
You are being protected by a strong Psychic Shield.
You sense forty-two slivers from Katamba suitable for use in Telekinetic Throw orbiting your head.

Roundtime: 3 sec.

Your black cage writhes.

Last Combat Maneuver: Dodge

A sand sprite spins about in a mad dance, her fine golden hair flying out in all directions as she twirls deftly about in the sand.

Your black cage writhes.
* With strength, a sand sprite lunges a coral knife at you. You attempt to evade, mis-stepping and blundering into the blow. The knife lands a light hit to your left leg.
[You're bruised, solidly balanced with opponent dominating.]

* A sand sprite feints to the side at you. You attempt to dodge, taking the full blow. The knife lands a brushing strike to your right leg.
[You're bruised, solidly balanced with opponent in superior position.]

Your body feels slightly battered.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You have some minor abrasions to the neck, some minor abrasions to the right arm, some minor abrasions to the left arm, some minor abrasions to the right leg, some tiny scratches to the left leg, some minor abrasions to the right hand, some minor abrasions to the left hand, some minor abrasions to the chest, some minor abrasions to the abdomen, some minor abrasions to the back.
You have no significant injuries.

then I decide to put on my armor and they cant hit me. I even fell over, used bash and stopped with terrible balance.

I went from 0 hinder with less than 70 stones on me with a capped ease burden to wearing a light chain hauberk a full heavy chain helm and heavy mail gloves and lost my sphere of protection and ease burden as well.

You are very badly balanced.

Armor absorption isn't messaged.

Cute verbs and speaking from hiding are excellent ways to catch a lightning bolt in the face regardless of mystical ninja abilities.

"Armor absorption isn't messaged."

Every hit that lands is displayed. If armor helps it just reduces the hit to harmless or glancing at best, and my cage of light displays messages for hits as well since they are using daggers.

And during combat some spells to message armor absorption.

I'll take a queue from your other post and stop wasting my time trying to explain something to someone who knows nothing about the systems he's using and refuses to listen to someone who is telling them what's what.

The only time I have had an experience like the one that you are describing is when I was using Cage of Light. Specifically while wearing armor that was a few hundred ranks lower than my regular armor at the time.

My overall hindrance did not change with the armor change.

Specifically: I picked Leather armor back up. I figured I would use Cage of Light with the Leather armor to help pick up the slack. Only got hit when I had Cage of Light up. In the same armor without Cage of Light, I was fine.

I'm surprised you got hit at all with those defenses, something does seem odd with that.

In regards to the "false information posters" tangent, what you propose is pretty much impossible to do. The truth about how systems work often emerges with a collaboration here on the boards. I don't think there's anyone that is right 100% of the time or knows when someone else is wrong 100% of the time. Banning people for trying to contribute would be counterproductive. There's a world of difference between the occasional mistake and J'los.

Additionally, making a big conflict out of disagreements on the boards is also counterproductive.

He mentioned he was training light thrown at the time, is LT also subject to the Encumberance bug? IE: He threw a bunch of times with 0 armor on and burdened himself badly enough to get hit, fell over while putting on armor typed ENC to check it and fixed the bug while he was wearing armor?

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." - George Carlin

I'm certain it's the throwing that caused it after some testing. Thanks for the information all who posted to do more than mock me.

You get what you give.... what comes around, goes around... If you would be just a little MORE receptive and a little LESS antagonistic, it might help. Just sayin...
