Ask a barbarian to buy you a nightstick from the barb store in crossing, or they sell them on Hara'jaal. The nightstick on Hara is a little bit better. I highly recommend training a different weapon tho. Once you start parrying with any short staff they break rather quickly. By far the biggest pain in the "A" weapon i've trained.

As I remember, there's a small gnarled stick for sale in Leth Deriel ... :checks Hanryu's Weapon Compendium: (http://www.kynevon.info/CombatEquipmentCompendium.xls), yes! For only ~4 gold. Pretty expensive if you ask me for a small piece of wood, but hey, everything's expensive in Leth. There's also options on Ratha and Hara, but they're a little further to travel. Good luck getting it!

Success!!! Thanks for the info, am now the owner of a rather gnarly looking stick.

>app my stick
A small gnarled stick is a short staff melee-ranged weapon.

You think it is likely that it could do:
no puncture damage
no slice damage
fair impact damage

You wonder if the stick is fairly balanced and is reasonably suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are confident that the gnarled stick is somewhat flimsy, and is in pristine condition.

The gnarled stick feels light.
You are certain that the gnarled stick is worth exactly 3562 kronars.

And as an added bit, I haven't had my gnarled stick damaged yet from parrying or attacking with critters up to rockies. Haven't tried it on rockies yet and I suspect gargs would not be good for it.

I was having aweful luck in black leucros parrying with a nightstick while backtraining cloth/bone armors. I just switched to using a shield and I stopped breaking weapons.
