Since i don't see a list i'm kinda curious who's attending this year...
My wife and I will be there... Elriic and Crysiana in DR
You know, maybe it's just me, but I visit Las Vegas in November for an Uber-Convention (The official Excuse.. Har.. I get to write off 5 days in a suite in the Bellagio.), I never have a problem with the airport.. I get there an hour early and have no problems getting through security to my flight.
Incidently, if you haven't been to O at the Bellagio, go, it is AWESOME.

Yes, it does. On the other hand, I had to drive about 400 miles or so through nonstop snow on the way out. Ugh. That was absolutely not fun in any way, shape, or form. At least going back wasn't so bad - maybe 30 miles of snow. That I can live with.

I felt very weak last night -- like IG cyanide, dizzy & having trouble breathing -- which I ascribed to lack of sleep, abundance of cigarette smoke, and the general nuisance [If you're a Ben Dover fan, the term is "brain damage"] of traveling. Flying into Vegas from Burbank on a Wednesday night is okay. Flying into Burbank from Vegas on a Monday morning is such a bad idea it defies description.
When I did get home I drank a lot of water and took two multivitamins. When I got up this a.m. I drank a lot of water and took two more multivitamins. Before bed I shall do the same. I plan to eat a lot more green growing things than I normally due (usually I regard myself higher up the food chain, thank you kindly). Eight hours sleep and, weather permitting, a couple hours out of doors will do wonders towards fighting off the illness.
I propound a motion to stay somewhere the non-smoking rooms actually don't smell like smoke (or worse) next year. Pretty sure we have lots of nurses and a few physicians in our ranks who might be able to address specific health concerns.
BTW, I never did post a formal note of thanks to the planners, although I believe I did so in person. Thanks. For shear determination and the ability to perform under pressure y'all have my respect and gratitude.

Sunday flight, gate D, flight was leaving at 3:30 pm and it took a good hour to get through the line. Ugh.
Oh and I'm still healthy despite getting almost no sleep the past two nights (still running on Pacific time, and I had <cough> issues that needed to be addressed) and eating my typical college student diet of microwave burritos and Cheez-its. So nyah. :)
And yeah, cough up the pictures people.

<<Vegas is harsh on security lines at times. A and B gate can get uber long if you fly out those in evening at times. gate D one is almost always a short line but you have to like take that shuttle train across airport. I never flew out C gate.
C gate was a joke for me, I think it took....5-10 minutes tops. Most amusing...and made me very glad. Then again, I didn't fly out til 8 pm....so who knows what it's like during the day.
