I am not sure what is where any more in the Rift, but it used to be pretty easy for its level.

My triple-training self-lore-casting locksmith used to be able to do some plane 1 boxes at 30. I haven't had a source for them since then, though, so couldn't theorize further.

There's NEVER a good simple answer to that kind of question, because every player & character is different.

To start with, it depends on how advanced you are in the LFM skill. If you can reliably use calipers, you can open much harder boxes because you can tell which ones will snap your picks and which ones won't. So you can try everything, and only pick the ones you can open. Without that, you usually have to assume every box is a hard one, which severely limits your options.

Before the Rift changes, Tier 1 boxes were pretty easy, with locks in the -600 range IIRC. Not sure how/if that changed since the recent changes.

lunatics easiest generaly 250 to 500 range for locks

Seraceris and naisarcs usualy 400 to 700s some 800s for locks

Witches ive seen -1050 to -1100 but usually 500 to 1000
