>describe sluagh
The lesser sluagh is a foul-smelling, foul-tempered, foul-looking beast that makes a mother-in-law seem positively angelic. Seven feet tall, musclebound, and wearing some kind of ragged, odiferous hide over its own none too lovely grey skin, it stares with bloodshot eyes and an evil leer. It is a living creature rather than an undead one, though you can't imagine it being any uglier or meaner were it undead.

Kind of makes you wonder about the greater ones, doesn't it?

>cast sluagh
You gesture at a lesser sluagh.
You meticulously alter the air flow and pressure around a lesser sluagh's head.
A lesser sluagh seems unaffected.

I can affect a swamp troll with less mana than I used on this sluagh. As you can see above, it's a living creature... it breathes... shouldn't Vertigo affect it as well?

Look again at this part of the description of a sluagh.

see there is a fine line between undead and cursed, the kinda mess since coporeal undead and cursed beings are grouped into one category which is why a slaugh is alive but still has maggot filled insides...BB works differently cause its coded to work with specific creatures

They sound broke to me.
I doubt the GM who made them intended them to be 'undead', but wanted them to have some qualities of undead.
I think they need to be looked at.
