Why would the fish monger refuse a cleaned fish, which is what you need to do to prepare a fish for a meal, clean it; over a ruined one?

Also,is it possible to put into works the idea that you can take a clean fished, mount it on branch of some type and then have a moonmage enchant it to sing songs. So when someone charges and focuses on it it will start to sing. Have so many charges and then crumble to dust and act as a crafted MD trainer?

It took me a moment or five to figure out where you were going with this, but man, that's awesome. You rock.

A ruined fish isn't converted from a fish yet.

A cleaned fish is completely scraped, and is no longer a fish.

That is a good idea to boost the price gained from selling the fish though...

I'd like a fish market where traders can catch/clean fish(or just buy them from fishermen) then throw them out to sell for commoners. Stock depletes over time with random messaging, and trading is learned.
