Certainly seems to have changed since I last tested it. With a 30 mana cast all adan'f in the barrows were blinked out immediately and managed to blink out a spirit dancer after a few ripples.

Am still unsure what this spell is useful for other than cleaning a room or emergency critter removal. Perhaps Pathian might be so kind as to explain why he finds it so attractive?

its just fun being able to blink things out of existance, its not an emergancy spell in the least takes along time to prep, but it does sorta create a very dangerous "safe" room heh, will blink out any creatures passing through but will also blink out anything dropped

>> will blink out any creatures passing through but will also blink out anything dropped<<

Shouldn't it also blink out other adventurers passing through and if not why is that?

I would think that any living thing passing through the area of the spell would be treated identically......

Not that I would want it to do that!!! Just curious as to why it is so selective. ;-}

PVP and balancing reasons, the spell is basically an instant kill spell, it disintegrates the creatures, doesn't leave a body thats the downside but the power to blink characters out of a existance is too powerful and wouldn't be accepted, its a loop hole but a necessary one

I understand why. But I would also like an IC reason though. Do we have some control of the waves, hence being why the caster isnt sucked up and if this is so, can we learn from each pulse that takes a critter away like with sls? SInce we are having some control.

was testing something earlier in crossing, my wd was getting a bit low and I was constantly being webbed, so I cast Ripple,

You struggle against the web!

A warklin mauler carefully picks its way into view.

An armored warklin carefully picks its way into view.

An armored warklin carefully picks its way into view.

An armored warklin begins to advance on you!

The armored warklin advances from nearby and is closing steadily.

An armored warklin carefully clambers into view.

An armored warklin opens the casing over its back, exposing a double set of irridescent wings.

A warklin mauler begins to advance on you!

The warklin mauler advances from nearby and is closing steadily.

A warklin mauler closes to melee range on you!

An armored warklin closes to melee range on you!

The web falls away!

The air ripples as a wave of distortion shudders through the area.
As the wave pulses outwards, an armored warklin is jerked into a ripple of darkness and vanishes!

very useful in emergencies I'd say,if you have time to cast it. My opinion of this spell is quite different from when I first tested it

Curious... does it work on Shadowlings, Shadow Servants, Warrior Mage Familiars, Town NPCs, etc. Or just hunting critters?

Just hunting critters. Would be ideal if it worked on familiars though.
