carve bows or if you have less then 150 mech braid vines into lead rope, that works plenty fine for me, no running to orgami shop, just forage up a limb carve a longbow or forage up a vine braid it into a lead rope.

No it's not. Solomon has been posting regular updates about the status of DR2, and it is also a huge new system which requires tons of coding before it is finished. Origami envelopes are fairly simple, and were already finished a while back (as far as we know), and we haven't heard an update on them in a LONG time. That analogy isn't even close, try again.

Something as big as DR2 is much higher on the priority list and has many more interested parties then Envelopes, hence the more frequent updates. I also recognize that it would ake a matter of seconds for a GM to state "Hey they're coming soon". BUt maybe the GM responsible does not read thisd folder? Maybe they want to keep it a secret, it doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal that a GM doesn't update on something as little as envelopes. <shrug>

<<As someone who uses origami, I read this folder to hear GM responses about these things. Unfortunately, I have to wade through about 10 posts a week asking for the envelopes that we already know are coming.>>
It's a very unfortunate thing that you have to "wade" through 10 whole posts a week. I'm very sorry for that. Along with you, the reason we read (and post) is because would LOVE to hear a GM's response also.
<<It's like me posting three times a day in general discussions asking when DR2 will be out, and telling people not to read there if my posts bother them.>>
Then you understand where we are coming from...you could always take your own advice then :)
<<And I would like a pony. But it certainly isn't the GMs job to give me a pony any more than it's their job to placate you with a post telling you that they aren't out yet. Grow up, people.>>
I am well aware that it is not the GM's job to bow to our every whim. As it is, they work too hard to make us happy for very little appreciation. But regardless, we have every right to ask (and keep asking) about this (yes...even if it annoys you), just as they have every right to ignore our posts. Right now there is alot of frustration from alot of people, and a response (good or bad) on the issue would do worlds of good.
<<carve bows or if you have less then 150 mech braid vines into lead rope, that works plenty fine for me, no running to orgami shop, just forage up a limb carve a longbow or forage up a vine braid it into a lead rope.>>
I appreciate your suggestion, but I've got nearly 275 mech, and carving longbows and working mech stones takes far too long. Right now Origami is the only thing that I can use to lock mech in an acceptable time period. Belive me, I do not like dropping 5 plat a week on paper, but if I don't want to sit around carving bows for 30 minutes to get it moving half way decent...then that's what I have to do.

Understandable, I only have mech just under 200 so Bows work just fine for me in about 15 minutes and I don't mind spending that time to Lock it since its a tert skill and it takes forever to pulse down anyway. I guess it's just preference.

Teek,
Under the "Show Messages" option for pages you also have the option of typing "By whom". Type DR in there and you'll only see the posts by the GMs, Moderaters and DRAQ.
Problem solved and you only get your feet wet.
Jerevth
Nodwick: "Okay... this is ominous."
Yeagar:"If "ominous" means something that makes you "*need to change your shorts*", then I've learned a new word."
(Moments later) I think I just "ominoused" myself.

And yet, all these problems could be more simply solved by just not making the posts in the first place.
What do you guys think, the GMs coded up and QC'd the envelopes and went through all that work and they're sitting there ready to be turned on and then the GMs just forgot? They forgot to release them and you guys are reminding them by asking constantly?
Or perhaps they are still in QC, and by posting constantly you are making the GMs test faster and get them released sooner.
Or maybe they're still being coded, and by constantly asking if they're done, you'll motivate the GMs to code quicker and get them out sooner.
Whatever the status with the envelopes, I guarantee that the GMs have a good reason for them not being out. I also guarantee that by posting constant annoying posts asking what the status on them is that you are NOT helping get them out quicker.
Chill out, you'll live longer.

-Teeklin Tessenoak I mean Krin. no I think I mean -Teeklin Tessenoak Or is it Krin?
Sure seems to be posting alot the same. LOL
Lets see so in defense of not posting on Origami post. you post over and over in defense of not posting. Thats excellent strategy. <krin tactics at there best> It means I can't ever be wrong so I must argue to infinity!
Lets face it your defending a lost cause and that my friend makes someone the looser... IF you don't want excessive post here. then practice what you preach. If you are the Official GM spokesperson then by all means sorry we missed the Memo. I am sure there capable of speaking for themselves.
Course the thief guild could use some more lackies. Hows 5 bronze a day sound to tell everyone how wonderfull and misunderstood we really are.
Just teasing mostly but there is some underlying truts in my words. have fun, don't presume to tell people what to do or how to do it. Especially don't tell people what they can't ask on a info board... DUH! If a Gm want's to tell them not to ask let them say it.

>>Teeklin>>And yet, all these problems could be more simply solved by just not making the posts in the first place.
And you compound the problem by adding 5 posts a week to complain about the ten posts a week you don't want to read? Yet you have no problem at all reading 100 posts in a single day in a coonflict folder, go figure.
Just take the advice already posted and if GM posts are all you are interested in, collapse the message list, skim for names in red, click those, when done click "Mark as Read" and call it a day.
