When the rumor system was announced, we were told that rumors would be reviewed, but generally handled with a minimum of editing and censoring.

I am curious why legitimate rumors get deleted, and obviously specious ones are allowed to be broadcast.

Or perhaps I do not understand the purpose of the rumor system after all.
