Greetings!
I just heard an interesting tidbit from Saranna about a famous Commoner preparing to hide small treasures around Elanthia. Let's hope this Commoner spreads rumors to help folks find out where the goodies are hidden. Oh I'm sure the treasures won't be as elaborate as 'official' treasures hidden but I bet it would be fun to find one!
Hm... Now why didn't "I" think to do that?

Rumor has it that the rumor system has some rumors in it. This applies to both Plat and Prime.
Some rumors are worth more than others. There is quite a bit of dross in the system, but those who can listen to the right people might occasionally find something interesting.
Remember that it takes rumors a while to spread, so keep checking back with the system, or check rumors as you travel. If you think the rumors in the system are lame, then add your own!

How does a character that isn't a Bard or Trader interact with the Rumor system?

There are NPCs who will accept rumors from people other than traders or bards. Try the table monger in Crossing, or the stable boy in Riverhaven.

I was putting on the discussion page who would/would not accept rumours - but that's a long and tedious process because I don't always have a rumour to try to submit and I don't want to clog it with "THIS IS A TEST".
I also want to fill out where each person can be found and who they will give rumours to.

I'm under the impression that the rumor system is a bit incomplete- but that it was originally intended to be a bit complex. I do know that most bartenders will talk to most bards. But the barmaids are more likely to talk to male bards. I'm under the impression that the gal in the Pig's Pannage in Tiger Clan will only talk to togs, though I'm not sure if that's bards or trader. She wouldn't talk to my toggy ranger in Plat though.
