ever since 3.0 i seem to be learning skinning poorly, especially in drakes. Can a boost to skinning exp be implemented with the changes. We just don't kill like we used too.
Skinning: 1034 51.86% concentrating (9/34)
I usually don't arrange, and am survival secondary.

Why not? Does it make it too difficult?
If not, then I say that's your problem.

Well for one, I think that having to arrange 4 times is a bit much unless your underhunting. I definitely think skinning needs an uptweak and not just something that you should have to meticulously bother over. As a Necromancer I think harvest is in some need of an uptweak too, since I can barely train it in my scripts now.

I just arranged for about 6 hours today and it did uptick exp a little, but it still sucks. Skinning is easily the last to lock. Eventually I got it to lock, but it took fooooooorever.
disclaimer; I understand locking a skill does not make a difference in learning rate. However I'm trying to make a point about filling the pool in general here.
(Also log out drain, does mean that locking matters to some degree)
I feel like skinning needs a pretty drastic uptick, especially high end.

I'm just saying, I could lock 5 weapons of killing critters as fast as I possibly can right now, and using harvest I could maybe lock it in the time I could lock those 5 weapons while killing at max speed. I never really noticed a problem until I got at this point. I think its been talked about that higher level skinning needs help, also harvesting grants less exp than I could gain skinning ( I understand ) But it also seems to grant next to no thanantology.

Not that I'm at drake level, but I've found scraping helps supplement slow-moving skinning. My general practice is to arrange twice, then skin, then scrape later. If I've gotten to 15/34 after a batch of hunting, scraping the bundle later will usually get me up to 34/34. You can use scrape quick to up the exp rewards.
