I noticed after getting too wounded to stalk, if I used the command from outside of hiding it would put me into hiding without any Roundtime. Log follows

!R> attack

< With grace, you jab a partisan with a broad woodgrain-steel blade at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior barely fails to block with oval shield.
The partisan lands a light hit (1/23) to the warrior's left arm.
[You're bruised, winded, adeptly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
[Roundtime 2 sec.]
!R> stalk
You quickly slip into hiding to prepare to stalk.
You melt into the background, convinced that your attempt to hide went unobserved.
You're not in any condition to be stalking anyone!

!H> ambush stun

The blood warrior is completely surprised by your stealthy maneuver!
You carefully position yourself behind an Adan'f blood warrior and prepare your attack. When the moment is perfect, you step forward and reveal yourself as you deftly land a solid blow to the back of its skull, sending it sprawling to the ground stunned before it's even had time to register the attack.
[You're bruised, winded, adeptly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
Roundtime: 1 sec.

!> health

Your body feels at full strength.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You have a badly bruised and swollen head compounded by some deep slashes and cuts about the head, some minor abrasions to the right arm, a severely swollen and deeply bruised left arm compounded by deep cuts across the left arm, some tiny scratches to the right leg, some minor abrasions to the chest, some tiny scratches to the abdomen, a severely swollen and bruised right eye compounded by a bruised and swollen right eye.

That looks like it's an error with the SLIP mechanic allowing you to stalk and hide in the same movement rather than simply stalking something, in case that helps a GM track it down.
