Hello folks!
Well, now that I've been allowed out of my cage at long last, I suppose I should come introduce myself. I'll be your new liaison.
I suppose you want to know a little about me, eh? I've played Dragonrealms since those (cough) lovely days of $3 an hour back on AOL, and Gemstone before that, so i'm no stranger to the mechanics of the realms. I played a Moon Mage for a few years, up until the req tweak a year and a half ago. At that time I "tried" playing a cleric, and I never went back! From day one I've loved the astounding breadth we are afforded in our roleplaying possibilities, and that is something I wish to preserve and foster in my tenure as your liaison. I saw myself more as a "grey" cleric; not light, not dark, but with my heart on both sides of the spectrum. I was a rabid board junkie back in my day as a player, so you can probably expect to see me posting frequently unless you all beat on me too much. :P
I'm more of a dev-oriented person in mind, but I enjoy doing events (many of you have interacted with me through my NPCs already) and also reading on the boards, so it fits. I fully intend to help Enbarr with Dev-type things. (I've currently finished coding class, but I need to write my first program to officially pass. ugh!) So hopefully we can get this guild chugging along and up to pace. Enbarr's done an awesome job, and it's amazing how much he works on backstage that you don't/can't imagine as players. (I sure never did!) All we can really ask is that you folks give us time to adjust as we settle down into our new positions and try to get things to you.
Also, I was very saddened and shocked to hear about Alnilam's departure. I never got to meet her myself, as she left around Christmas time, and I joined staff on February first. She was a great guru, but she's at the point in her life where she must move on and take care of Real Life business, and we fully support her in that.
All that said, I'm very excited to be here, and thanks for having me!
