As Skralthaen has posted, the revelation spell has been reworked a bit. It is my hope that these new changes will make the spell more useful to those of you who have it.

Revelation allows the cleric to sense the soul of someone nearby. Invisible folks are readily sensed, because they are standing close at hand, and counting on their magic to conceal them.

Folks in hiding are a bit harder to sense, they are actively trying to avoid being detected by the cleric, and can be assumed to not be standing right next to them, but instead are over there behind that tree, or under that rock. :)

Still a cleric who has strong magic skills will often be able to detect them. And, as Skralthaen pointed out, magic skills that are much higher than hiding skills will allow you to point that person out. Think of it like this. You sense the soul of Joe Player, and it seems to be strongest around that funny looking bush. Obviously Joe player is such a poor hider, that he picked a bush that was all alone, and the only obvious place to hide, so you can just point him right on out.

A superior hider might be detected, but you cant quite pinpoint where. So you can not point him out.

As with most spells I am working with, devotion is a factor. The higher your devotion, the bigger your bonus. As a balancing factor, if you are unclean, you will not be able to cast this spell.

If you folks run into any problems out there with the spell, do let me know in our bug folder, so I can look at them right away.
