Hullo folks!

Well, the judging for the prayer parchment contest is finalized at last, and the votes have been tabulated. Before I announce the winners, though, i'd like to yap briefly on how the contest was judged --

In the interest of fairness, all names were removed from all entries before judging, and then were sent off to five impartial judges who have Clerical interests and/or ties. The only person who had access to the names was myself, and I was not a judge. Each judge had a chance to vote for their five favorite entries and points were awarded for each "vote". The points were then tabulated by myself after each judge returned their ballot, and the five highest values were chosen as the winners -- thus no single judge's vote determined one of the winners. Again, we did this to ensure the greatest degree of fairness to all participants. Luckily it turned out very well, although we have quite a surprise... Just below the five "grand prize" winners were a tie of four parchments for the next point value down. Being that it was so close, we decided to include these four as "runner-up" winners.

All that said, the judges had a VERY tough time picking! Several of them expressed to me how tough it was to choose, even though they each had five votes -- all the entries were simply excellent. We would collectively like to thank everyone who entered and put forth effort into this, and to express our gratitude everyone who even entered the contest will receive a tiny "gift" next time you log into the game. (It's not a physical item -- you'll see what I mean ;)

Okay, enough stalling! The Grand Prize winners are as follows, in no particular order:

Hylthorin for "Prayer to Eluned"
Crusinix for "Prayer to Chadatru, Urrem'tier, and Glythtide"
Liani for a prayer that is untitled as of yet.
Perre for "In Praise of the Masters of Craft and Wealth"
Brynnfairn for "Abues ia Fostra -- A Prayer for Love and Peace"

And the tied runners up:

Dorrad for "Hymn to Hodierna"
Alisyne for "Prayer for the Unfaithful"
Lyvvia for "Prayer of Dedication to The Huntress"
Shimmah for "The Guided Path"

The Grand Prize winners will receive an altered and magically-bonded parchment case which will include all of the parchments that placed in this contest. Runners up will receive a fancy un-altered, yet magically bonded parchment case with their winning prayer parchment in it. And again, everyone who entered will receive a little "thank you" for your excellent roleplaying in writing these parchments.

Great thanks to everyone, this contest was quite a success! I just hope the shrine contest works out as well. (So get your entries in!)

PS: The physical prizes for the Grand Prize winners and Runners-Up will be awarded once all the parchments are coded and through QC. It may take awhile, but i'll get them to you as fast as I am able!
