There are concerns and questions popping up concerning what to expect from Teylana as the Ranger Liaison. I would like to address those.

A) Just like most positions within the DragonRealms staff structure, the Liasison is a secondary position, as is being the 'Ranger GM' is for me. All GMs have the primary responsibility of general game development and adminsitration.

B) The only two requirements a Liaison has to any guild is that they keep up with the messages on the boards...that means actually reading each and everyone (which I don't do when the "drolling" and "harping" starts) and to try to post at least a couple of times a week. Now that post could be one post in any topic of their assigned guild's message board, twice a week, and by the rules, they have met their commitment.

What I guess we need to make clear right now is;

A) She is not going to respond to each and every question ever asked on this board. First there isn't enough time in the day to research the responses and make them...believe me I know. Second, any question she answers off the cuff (which she just might do now and then) is subject to her current information and experience with the game...which leave room for error (again something I am very familiar with at even my level).

B) She does not know everything there is to know about this game. No one does. Not I, not Zoha, not Smitty, not Brigdha. The game itself and the complexities are simply too much for any one person to know or to keep up with at the detail level.

C) There will be times when she doesn't post every week. She has a real life...i.e. young kids, a husband, school functions, holidays, funerals, sickness (her own and her family's), and work to deal with. I know its a tough thing for some to understand (pasrticularly the younger among us that don't work and have family responsibilities), but being a GM is a volunteer postion. For those who get paid for this (and Teylana is not one of them yet) what they make barely pays for their ISP, dataline, and the ware and tear on their computer system. So Real Life has to come first.

Basically all I'm saying this...Teylana is doing a excellent job, both on-stage and back-stage. If you have a question or a problem that MUST be dealt with by the GMs, then direct it at Teylana or myself...otherwise just ask the question and see if we answer, most of the time, if we don't someone else will. If we don't it is probably because we don't have the answer, or don't have the time right now to persue the proper answer. You can be assured that Teylana is reading each and every post. I know she is because I read 70% of them, and she still throws stuff at me that I didn't see from time to time.
