Hello folks,

I have some wonderful news, and some sad news to share with you.

The wonderful is that I have an opportunity to complete my degree requirements and start attending graduate school next Fall. It comes late in life... but better later than never. This is something that I've always wanted to accomplish despite teasing comments to any who express surprise that I don't have a bachelor's that "back when I was in school, ladies were only expected to graduate with an Mrs." I did do that, and am delighted that nearly 20 years later, I still have the same Mr. that goes with the Mrs. But, deep down, I've always wanted more and now have the chance to pursue that goal.

The sad news is that in order to reach that dream, I need more time than my current duties for Simu will allow. I've resigned my position not only as premium coordinator, but from the premium program entirely. I've asked for, and received, a new assignment in Dragonrealms which will be less time intensive. However, since my new position is in DR, you'll still be seeing me about and Nyghil will still be trying to support his ever-growing brood of children.

Actually, this change impacts me much more than yourselves. We've got a fantastic replacement guru in Winnow. She will be continuing all the things started and adding her own nifty twists and fun things. Winnow is devoted to the premium program, and has the time to devote to it that the players need and deserve. I've already begun training her, and she is now the guru. Please address anything to her that you would have sent to me in the past.

Thank you all for your past support and confidence, and I hope you will extend the same kindness and patience to Winnow as she assumes leadership of the program. I've enjoyed working (and playing!) with you all -- even the folks who start their letters, "Dear Meriel, I know you probably think I'm a pain in the..." ::grins::
