We know there's a problem.

The GMs know there's a problem.

I'm 10 times more frustrated about this problem than any single player, period. Hands down. No questions asked.

Folks...the onsite techs are doing the best they can to figure this out. I'm pesting the snot out of them, my
boss is pestering them, his boss is pestering them, David Whatley is pestering them (and me too, but that has
nothing to do with the crashes) ::grin::

We know WHERE the problem is. We THINK we know what's causing it, but we aren't sure. The main problem with
this is that there no way for us to know that it's fixed until it doesn't crash anymore. That sucks. Trust
me...I'm agreeing with you all that it sucks.

There were some adjustments in the code that were rolled in today, along with some tracking code that will try
to narrow this down. We've got a couple options on how to proceed, which we're meeting about in 30 minutes or
so.

Let me stress that when we think we have this fixed, we're going to do our best to try to celebrate. I'm sure
many folks will like what we have planned, some will think it's stupid, some won't care because, honestly MOST
of the players understand that these things happen, they understand it's not under our control, and they
understand that we're doing our best to fix it. BUT, what we're going to do will happen when more more
comfortable with the system stability. A few weeks ago we did the RP Award thing...I want to do something a
little more substantial, but more on that later.

I understand that this is a complaints area. I expect folks to complain here, cause that is what it's for. :)

Provided you don't target a specific person (GM, Host, or any other Staff member) and provided you follow
TAC/TOS and provided you don't get out of hand with your complaints about the company in general, I expect the
folks that a) post on or read the boards and b) aren't happy will complain here. I'm not going to jump anyone
for complaining here. All I will try to do is explain our position and if ya buy it, awesome. If not, arguing
with you won't change your mind. Sometimes folks just need to vent. When I was a player, I was pretty vocal
about things. I yelled and screamed a lot on the boards. Looking back at my charcter's logs, I blush when I see
some of the things I said, especially knowing the things I know now. Of course, I can't tell you guys any of
that stuff, so that doesn't help much. :P

For the record, I'm also going to make an area where people can post HAPPY posts...and where we can (with the
player's permission) post the HAPPY feedback letter and thank you's and compliments to staff. We'll hide the
account names, of course...and again, we'll only post the ones we get permission for.
