Six and a half years ago, I was a wide-eyed AGM working to complete a few projects in GemStone III. When I was asked to be a GameMaster on Project X (our super secret codename for DragonRealms) I leapt at the chance like a hungry tiger.

On that day my life began anew. As I look back, that moment is the dividing point of my life. Everything before it was completely different from everything after it. What Id longed for and dared not think Id achieve when I was young came to me on that day, unbidden and unexpected. A blessing that couldnt be measured was handed to me on that day.

My time with DragonRealms is an experience I will always cherish. I will cherish the opportunity it gave me to create. I will cherish the GameMasters who I count as some of the finest people Ive ever met. I will cherish the players who came and found a home in DragonRealms and made this place hum.

Thank you, dear players. You have brought me countless hours of delight. Thank you for coming, for caring and for every time you made my life miserable and happy. It is every one of you who made my job possible and its my hope that DragonRealms has returned to you some of the joy all of you have given to me.

But as we all know, change is inevitable. In January I will be moving to work on a new project for Simutronics. Ill still see you at SimuCon or VegasCon but its time for others to lead DragonRealms into the future. While in many ways I feel just as excited as I was when I first started work in DragonRealms, I cant help but feel a touch of sadness today.

It is hard to leave a place that has become so much a part of my life. My GMs have said that itll be hard to think of DragonRealms without Zoha. I will find it hard to think of Zoha without DragonRealms because it was DragonRealms that made Zohanot the other way around. And who is DragonRealms? Its you, the player.

So it is with joy that I leave knowing that the game is in good hands. Its with pride that I leave it for the success that its been. Its with sadness that I will no longer be a part of its future. And it is with a thankful heart that I leave having been blessed by your presence.

Gods richest blessings on all of you,
