The barrier that existed for so long outside of Shard, barring traffic to the west, was finally torn down as part of the efforts to rout Dragon Priest invaders plaguing Ilithi. Brave adventurers traversed the newly-found road along the base of Wyvern Mountain, through the Wyvern Woods, and finally on to the vast grasslands of the Gilen Otso Steppes. Beautiful hunting cats present something of a hazard in the steppes, canyons filled with terrible beasts were noted along the route, and a large settlement of Wind Elves known as Horse Clan (Zaldi Taipa in the Elven tongue) has been encountered.
