Greetings folks:

I am glad to see you all are back to normal. I was beginning to fear you had lost the fire in your bellies after such a slow and abnormally pleasant week on the boards just before the Con. ::chuckle::

Since the moment Solomon's wish list was put before us at the Con, you can be sure your Guru has spent a lot of time discussing what he sees as the rightful place of Warrior Mages on issues of weather control. I already have had discussions with many GMs, including the Moon Mage Guru and the new Weather Guru (who was my assistant lead designer on the Taisidon II project and is a very skilled, fair minded and creative GM). At present I feel confident Warrior Mages will not be excluded from and will play a Guild concept appropriate role -- i.e. a primary and effective role -- in any forthcoming weather and weather control systems.

After recovering from my own initial shock and mild consternation and applying a little creative thinking to the problem, I see the possible development of weather and weather control systems as a boon that could open many exciting doors for Warrior Mage magic.

I encourage you to post below your ideas as to what Warrior Mages might be able to do with weather control in terms of useful spells and abilities -- like quelling or summoning storms, speeding those blasted boats on their way across the seas, etc.

Finally, I congratulate and thank all Warrior Mages who have rationally laid out arguments and skillfully provided resources and references which are idelibly woven into the very fabric of DragonRealms, demonstrating the rightful place of Warrior Mages in any forthcoming weather control systems. Keep fighting the good fight my fellow spell slingers and, most importantly, have fun doing it!

Regards,

Hyram
