The spring season of the gladiator sport will open Friday, January 6, 2006 at 9pm est. This season will feature fights based on weapons styles, and will be regardless of circle or skill. Our first fight on Friday will feature Slamfest rules. 1 platinum lirum entry fee. Only shield slams, pommel bashes and feint moves (feint, feint draw, feint sweep etc) allowed. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, and the top finisher will receive a weapon that I've picked to be the "mark" of Therengian gladiator champions, a forged lapis-hilted claymore.

After the fights, we'll open up for some of our traditional platinum grudge matches where you pick your opponent and your own rules, pay a plat each, and duke it out. Winner gets their plat back, loser's plat goes to the arena fund with the rest of the proceeds of the night.
