Is the racial chain in Shard all LC? I'm trying to find good, relatively cheap LC for an Elothean. Anyone remember how much it costs?

How about the stuff from the Keep?

Using Hanryu's compendium, as awesome as it is, isn't an option unfortunately.

I've not bought Shard racial chain in a while. But I remember the large and the S'kra chains were HC, and the racial chains- especially medium- were quite pricey, costing several plats. The up side is that you can choose a specific color, if you wish to.

The silver-gilt hauberk from Theren Keep costs only a few gold, and it has different strengths from the Shard racial.

I don't ever recommend the racial stuff. It's not that much cheeper than some forged gear. If you're a poor chain, make due with a chain user use a shirt and random accessories until you can buy forged. Marauders drop shirts and the skeletal kobolds in shard drop all manner of metal accessories if you're really going for cheep.

I used the medium chain from shard and it is, as far as I can tell, the best store bought LC in the game when it comes to hinderance and protection mix. But as someone mentioned, it pretty expensive so I am not sure its a good "starter" LC.

If I was in prime I'd go with forced LC of some kind though.
