>>>tend my back
You foolishly remove the blood-red thorn from your back tearing the flesh and horribly aggravating the wound!
Roundtime: 94 seconds.

Can we please fix this? This is utterly ridiculous. I almost died back-training today.

And here's another one that had me down to 20% health in a critter I stopped training on like 75 ranks ago.

>drop thorn
You need both hands free to tend your wound. or 'You are not holding that.' And before someone asks, yes, I thied my thorn.

Basically I was trying to pump multi, one of them got a lucky shot and lodged a thorn in me when I was in a parry stance and it landed in my back. And then I tried tending it and ended up with a minute and a half of roundtime, during which I got four more lodged in me and then I was incapable of swinging my two-handed bastard sword because I couldn't drop the thorn in my hand that I had just pulled out.

Freaking annoying, please fix it so that 'drop thorn' defaults to the one in your hand, and please institute a roundtime cap of ~30 seconds for tending wounds badly. I got 181 seconds once.

Not that it helps with your FA problems, but you can type "empty left" and it'll drop whatever is in your left hand.

Tending bloodvine thorns requires both hands free, just like tending arrows & crossbow bolts.

And as a bloodvine hunter I learned to empty left and right too.

I know about empty, I just use drop out of habit so it becomes rather annoying. That problem is easily solved.

~181 seconds of roundtime is not solved by empty left, however.

I just don't tend bloodvine thorns in combat. Not worth the aggravation. But your request is a reasonable one.

Sorry it took awhile to get here; I don't usually read the combat boards. I tweaked the thorns so that they should be much easier to tend.

Not sure if there's anything I can do about that one. If you haven't done so yet, BUG it so that it can get passed to the proper GM in charge of those mechanics.

Thanks a lot Oolan, I appreciate it.

I think the problem was more the lack of a centralized RT limit for failure to tend a wound, but that would be a much bigger fix than simply tweaking down the thorn difficulty.

In any case this solution works very well. I think the thorns were a little too difficult "at level" anyways.
