>>You guys say this now... and when the time comes that you have to move somewhere remote to train and you can't find an empath - well you'll see just how fun it can be.
Its not fun at all, well at first it wasn't.This is exactly why I train the way I do now. I moved into celpeze and was dying a lot left and right. A bunch of you probaly had noticed this. I messed around with my training regiment and I now only go in to lock my defensive skills and then cycle through my weapons until locked. I then will leave with minimal injuries and train magic/perception and other skills and then return back into combat. My quick death hits have dropped tremendously and I believe overall I'm training better then I ever have before.
Death scars are still an issue when the unavoidable eventually occurs in the remote areas but it's the method that needs to be used currently untill the system if fixed for those 1 shot kills.

Also, the type of armor you use impacts your open roll results. I seldom get them with heavy plate and DA cast on it. Whereas a ranger in leather would get open rolls more often that he/she could not survive primarily because of the absorption of the armor worn.
Not saying they shouldn't go away, just saying that it is one area where heavy plate shines.
Good luck.

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.
