This seems a bit much.
< Driving in with naturally fluid movements, you bash a threefold staff at a giant black leucro. A giant black leucro attempts to evade, only slightly avoiding the blow. The staff lands a strong hit that knocks the leucro's breath away with a loud Whuff as the stomach takes full force of the blow, barely stunning it but dinging your threefold staff on the leucro's as it falters slightly.
[You're winded, nimbly balanced and in dominating position.]
[Roundtime 6 sec.]

Five hits later...
< Driving in like an unbeatable force, you bash a threefold staff at a giant black leucro. A giant black leucro fails to evade, only partially avoiding the impact. The staff lands a hard hit that thumps painfully on the toes of the left foot but nicking your threefold staff on the leucro's as it falters slightly.
[You're winded, incredibly balanced and in dominating position.]
[Roundtime 6 sec.]
You are certain that the threefold staff is of average strength, and is practically in mint condition.
You are certain that the threefold staff weighs about 55 stones.
You are certain that the threefold staff is worth exactly 30037 kronars.
Roundtime: 5 seconds.
_______________
Is average strength really that bad that it damages itself?

Yep. Equipment damage is really screwed up. Above fairly sturdy you may never need to get an item repaired, below that and you had better own triple the items so you can at least have something while the other two are in the repair shop.
If I were to spite my face, in my opinion, cutting off my nose would be a reasonably good start.

Ha. Take that, critters!
