All right, so I'm a bit of an idiot. I should have made sure my laptop was plugged in, or paid attention to the warning about low power. But I didn't, so the battery went dead and it took something like 3-4 minutes to get back in-game. It happens.

But I have to ask, why was my hurlable war hammer gone? All the junk and loot had vanished, so the janitor must have visited, but at the same time the haversack I use to hold gems (kept on the ground to reduce burden) remained. Obviously there are ways to track this sort of thing, so why on earth are these mechanics not applied to the weapon class that by definition must leave the hunter's hand (and usually end up on the ground)?

This is the fourth nice HT weapon I've lost to bad mechanics, and I'm getting really frustrated here - finding such weapons for sale is a chore, and they seemed DESIGNED to disappear at the earliest opportunity. Release Toss-O-Rama again or fix HT weapons, please - it's long overdue.

The pulzone lands a powerful strike that pokes the steel-tipped pulzone into the gryphon's rear end (more embarrassing than painful!).
The steel-tipped pulzone lodges itself shallowly into the forest gryphon!

No kidding!
And GMs wonder why people like me keep old weapons (three-fold staff, anyone?) vaulted and never used b/c of either the rarity and lackluster construction of the weapon (three-fold staff) or the weapon design and game mechanics (lodged ammo with critter wandering away, throw weapons poof if you get disco'd).
Yes, this is definately annoying to no end; and don't say 'well, just stock up on throws' b/c I'm not sitting on tons of plat (where a 2plat fest weapon now sells for 40 or whatever). Bring the shops back every year and let people buy what they need, at a reasonable price, without the rampant markups.
