Just in case any of you aren't aware Tinkering (and PC made crossbows) is in the pipes to be the next crafting discipline released. So any extensive testing will be made obsolete within the next 4-6 months. Though, K did already say that the 14 shot repeater would break DPS calcs, but all other repeaters would be fine.

No, he won't. He's already said that he is going to make stonebows craftable, but I do foresee them losing popularity.

Completely true, but my script can already handle any type of crossbow and I hunt with someone with effectively identical stats/skills/weapons so for me it's more a question of 'why not' once I find the time.
I'm definitely going to revisit things once craftable crossbows are out, as well. Can't wait to play with those!

I did not run enough tests to know for sure but i think some changes to crossbows have already been rolled into test realm. Either that or something with the creatures i hunt because i was definitely seeing higher dps compared to current live.
It's possible that the results that i was getting in the test realm are not final yet. It's just much more convenient to test in the test realm due to "healme", which allows to kill yourself to clear exp. Don't want to do that in prime.

As I've read through this thread and saw your LX/HX load times it reminded me...I'm using an old forester's crossbow. That is why my testing results favored staying with crossbow over stonebows or repeaters. Take my input with a grain of salt since my load time is so low compared to other crossbows.
Also I train all 14 weapons evenly so I want fastest mind lock as possible on all weapons. Stats of weapons and ammo matter a great deal to me because of that.
