If you're mindlocked in a weapon skill and use that weapon in your offhand, will the overflow of weapon skill be given to the offhand weapon skill?

What I mean is, if you're wielding a Scimitar in your left hand and your Medium Edge skill is at 34/34 mind lock and you ATTACK LEFT, will all of the exp for that attack go towards the Offhand Weapon skill since Medium edge is already 34/34?

I remember asking if it could work this way when offhand was first released, and I still wish this were the case.
