I just heard about some long-hafted swappable axe sold in a tree house in Leth Deriel, anyone happen to have the appraisals of these weapons? I'm hoping to find an HE axe that is fairly balanced or higher, just so I can finally use an axe and parry with the blasted thing

The only "axe" I'm aware of in the tree is the recade... and I didn't think it was swappable, solely heavy edge. Stats: n/h/m, dismally/reasonably at 50 stones

Good luck there. Axes in DR are inherently poorly balanced or worse. There are a couple of exceptions, like a Dwarven tunneler's axe in the hands of a dwarf and maybe one of the barbarian-only weapons, but that's it as far as I know.

That's what I thought too, but the person who told me about it, insists there is a long-hafted axe in Leth, it runs about 20pk I'm in Theren currently or I'd check myself.

I stopped by Yithye's shop today on my way through and the inventory has not changed. The other possibility would be the kaskara, but I've always thought that was just a big 2-handed sword, not an axe. It weighs 100 stones, too.

I believe they are confused with the weapon store in Steel Claw Clan. That is the only swappable HE/2HE axe that I know of for sale in the shops of the realms. There it is just called an axe(costs something just over 13 plat dokoras I believe), no idea of the stats, I believe it appraises similiar to the bastard swords sold there. Long-hafted axes(by that name) I believe were old old fest items that were sold around the same time as the original silver-etched bastard swords from I think the first or second beta festival.
Just to clarify, the HE/2HE axe from Steel Claw Clan does not appraise similar to the bastard sword from there.

The swappable long-hafted axes were sold at a festival in Crossings for 15 plat. I remember buying one.
