Alright, so I like pickaxes.... and for my barbarian, the idea of dual wielding pickaxes just seems fun. What do yall think about the horsemens pick.... is it a decent enough weapon?

Its been a long time, but as I recall in the days before forging, balance changes and Shard, Horsemens Picks were considered pretty good weapons.

But I don't know anymore.

Strolls down memory lane remembering heated discussions of which was better horsemens pick or broadswords.....

The pick. I used to tear through reavers with that thing, then gargoyles when Shard was opened up. Now everyone and their dog uses forged so it's a pointless debate.

Now you got me strolling down the lane.

Yep, the first incarnation of Ristyl used the pick waaayy back in the day... good weapon. I'd say it's one of the better storebought HE weapons out there, fairly comparable to broadswords or some of the SCC axes in damage potential, and better than another old storebought favorite, the Elven Longsword.

ooooh, the pick is a FUN weapon with the Effective Strength to use it.

Currently, I'm in TF, looking for a ME better than marachek's oak (it's mod/strong sturdyness, haven't apped one in a long time). Any of the weapons in SCC worth the plats, or for "afk combat script death" (TF-mind you) purposes should i just stick with the cheapies?

I don't thinnk SCC sells MEs. However, they do have some pretty HEs. I used to have a broadsword before I gave it away, and I never had to repair it.

I'm pretty sure hangers are from SCC. Those are MEs. I could be wrong, however.
