Looks much like the stats for my schianova(sp), though the longswords construction is a bit weaker if I recall. I can't log in right now to check though to confirm. Like Teeklin said, I'd use it.

>I would use that longsword simply for the fact that it is fairly balanced. Generally longswords are poorly or worse (excluding the Elven longsword which just sucks all around anwyay).
The elven longsword is better than it appraises and is a good starter weapon still. I think if you take one to a forge and grind the word "Elven" off, it might not suck so bad.
For a system that started out so colorful, titles are becoming a washed out shade of grey.

>I like the original better- I translate it as: "She a no-go" (my apologies for anyone who actually speaks Italian or Spanish)
I like the even older version from the Roman bath houses... "She a yes-yes"

Yeah.. these days people are looking for weapons that are actually good rather than a weapon they can swing with low RT at low strength.

Have to disagree Olesh, the schiavona is nothing like a falchion.

The schiavona is a beautiful weapon where as in my opinion the falchion is a machete sort of weapon. A common hacking thing, an ugly weapon to be sure.

Ah, ok I see where that might be what he meant. :nods: I just don't like comparing a fine weapon like that to an orc blade of a falchion!
The schiavona is so much more then a over sized machete.
