I'm considering picking up ME instead of LE since right now I really don't see a reason to continue with LE as a secondary weapon (ranged prime). I saw this scimitar at the fest and from what I understand it's up there with forged weapons. How much do similar forged weapons go for stat-wise? I've also got an iltesh, a Ternith-forged 18 stone scimitar, and a telo in my vault. Should I spring for this scimitar or go with one of the ones I have? I'm a Human ranger with about 20 strength and agility. Thanks for your help!

an engraved scimitar hilted in flame-kissed gold is 90200 Dokoras
Etched along the tempered blade is the image of a proud lion making its way across the sandy desert. Pounded to comfortably fit the hand, the burnished gold hilt still bears marks from the forge's flames, light as a kiss upon the rich metal.

An engraved scimitar reads:
"Property of the Outcast Army"

An engraved scimitar hilted in flame-kissed gold is a medium edged melee-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
poor puncture damage
heavy slice damage
low impact damage

You are certain that the scimitar is fairly balanced and is reasonably suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the engraved scimitar is fairly sturdy, and is in pristine condition.

The engraved scimitar is made with metal.
You are certain that the engraved scimitar weighs exactly 35 stones.
You are certain that the engraved scimitar is worth exactly 90200 dokoras, 125000 kronars, or 100000 lirums.

Telo is very weak, but very fast... you're likely getting min RT on that already. Ilteshes are fairly heavy, I believe at 36 stones or so, with mod punc/slice. Your 18 stone scimitar you're likely getting near min RT as well.

That scimitar might jump your RT up 1-2 seconds, but the damage output will be noticable. All depends on what you're looking for... Also, I believe my 36 stone forged scim is fairly/fairly... so that actually looks a bit better in suitedness, and 1 stone lighter.

Keep in mind, though, eventually you will get min RT on that blade as well, and when that time comes, your 18 stone scim, iltesh, and telo won't hold a candle to it.

Here's my scimitar 26 stone forged scimitar with differences.

A scimitar is a medium edged melee-ranged weapon.

You are certain that it could do:
poor puncture damage
heavy slice damage
poor impact damage worse

You are certain that the scimitar is fairly balanced and is fairly better suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.

You are certain that the scimitar is of average better strength, and is in pristine condition.

they go for 20ish plat, I believe.

I'd give my Eye-teeth for one of those, but I stuck with my characters like for thrown blades and bought a handful of the claw daggers instead.

I guess I'll go with one of them then, I'm not too hot on the look but it seems they're cheaper than similar forged scimitars. Does anyone know if they can be dyed? Doubt it, but I guess it's worth a shot. Thanks for all the help.

I like the impact of the outcast scimitar. I've actually knocked things down with a medium edge now. Never done that before.

Hate to tell ya this buddy but reasonable is higher up then fairly. So your forged scim is actually worse.

Don't know on construction but I think fairly sturdy is higher, course that one I could be wrong about.

Original post was already read, don't feel like looking back, but in that general range, it's average strength, then fairly sturdy, then moderately strong... take that as you will.

Close...

Not, dismally, poorly, fairly, reasonably, well, excellently, superbly

Basically, the only one you missed on any non-ultra-rare, buggy blade o'doom was dismally... there's a few others... think incredibly and something else, but you really never see them.
