Looking to switch over to HP and some sort of chain. Wondering what kind of set up I could go with and still beable to train stealth being a armor Tertiary guild. Also who forges Metal armor still?

Thanks for any Info

stealth + hp/chain mixed + armor tert = ouch

I have a feeling you're going to be removing armor to train stealth, for quite a few armor ranks, regardless of set up.

What guild are you playing? The abilities in your tool kit will determine if training stealths in mixed chain and plate is workable.

Starting in the MM guild.
Was wondering about the hinderance factor since I havent used Metal armor before always been leather. Example using some armor stats on a scroll.

HC Greaves = Insignificant
HP Half plate = Moderate
HC Mail gloves = Insignificant
HP Greal Helm = light
Shield = light

I sure once its all together The Hinderance changes a great deal.

As a moonie you can cast shadowling and train stealths on it to what...? 400? Keep in mind that as a moonie you also don't need to do any combat to circle. I've heard many people say not to start combat as a moonie until you're 25th circle or higher. My moonie is currently 77th circle and hasn't been in combat yet, but when I start (combat at 100th is my goal) my mentals will rock and I'll never run out of mana, as well as having insane stats for starting combat. I also primarily play TF which makes this a viable alternative, not so much in prime, but getting to 25th circle is very easy regardless of the instance you play.

Stealth hinderance has nothing to do with the hinderance in the appraisal, as of a semi recent change.

You're looking at 200+ ranks to have a decent chance of regularly hiding - in chain (200 chain ranks btw), at level. I'm not sure if you'll manage with plate mixed in, but if so I'd assume it'd be even higher.

Which goes back to my comment about taking armor off while locking stealths, if you want to do plate/chain. Plate/chain is quite feasible for dancing, it is just the impact upon stealth (since you mentioned it) that is the issue.

Selection wise, chain shirt (forged), chain greaves (forged), plate hand (forged)/plate head (forgeable?) perhaps. Not sure which pieces people ormally use for that particular set-up.

Not sure it will help any but my cleric (armor tert) uses LC/HP/LP/Shield.

You are wearing a polished gold helm, a jade green shirt, a golden buckler, some polished gold gauntlets and some polished gold greaves.
Armor ranks between 75 and 95.
But considering all the armor and shields you are wearing or carrying, you are currently somewhat hindered.

40 hiding.
The kelpie notices your attempt to hide!
The kelpie discovers you, ruining your hiding place!
Roundtime: 6 sec.

You retreat from combat.

You assess your combat situation...

You (nimbly balanced) are facing a kelpie (1) at missile range.
A kelpie (1: solidly balanced) is facing you at missile range.

You melt into the background, convinced that your attempt to hide went unobserved.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

Hope that helps.
