Hi Guys,
What's the app of the heaviest forged HP? Damite cut with platinum for whatever template is most protective?
Thanks. Just curious.

It takes a lot of skill. Not that my mech lore is horribly high (~350 ranks), but with torso armor tech, and a capped prediction was able to make a lumium light cuirass only at outstanding quality. Helms and gauntlets are definitely doable, and given my experience with other armors, going with either field plate + vambraces, or half plate + greaves is likely 100+ ranks easier to make.

<<is it the same as that damite full plate with gold leaf that was posted?>>
That's extremely unlikely. Real damite would be much worse against fire and cold, but much better against eletrical damage. The physicals might be about right, though...I have yet to actually find any damite anywhere myself, so I couldn't say for sure. I'm still holding off on heavier stuff for myself until after the combat rewrite anyway...I'm going to wait and see if it's worth the hindrance.
Thanks,

The damite armor from the quest is real damite.
I would chalk up the armor having poor electrical damage protection and good fire/ice protection to the armor template just being really bad at taking advantage of the electric stat and really good at taking advantage of the fire stat.

The appraisal of the gnome quest damite armor, with DA on it:
You feel certain that some damite full plate embellished with gold leaf around the edges appears to impose overwhelming maneuvering hindrance and insane stealth hindrance, offering:
extreme protection and amazing damage absorption for puncture attacks.
exceptional protection and amazing damage absorption for slice attacks.
very great protection and amazing damage absorption for impact attacks.
extreme protection and amazing damage absorption for fire attacks.
extreme protection and amazing damage absorption for cold attacks.
good protection and very good damage absorption for electrical attacks.

For comparison purposes, I made some heavy weighted damite heavy plate gauntlets:
The heavy plate gauntlets are heavy plate.
The gauntlets look like they offer protection for the following areas:
right hand
left hand
You feel certain that some damite heavy plate gauntlets appear to
impose fair maneuvering hindrance and light stealth hindrance,
offering:
great protection and incredible damage absorption for puncture attacks.
very great protection and incredible damage absorption for slice attacks.
very high protection and incredible damage absorption for impact attacks.
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for fire attacks.
moderate protection and moderate damage absorption for cold attacks.
very high protection and exceptional damage absorption for electrical attacks.
You are certain that the heavy plate gauntlets are unusually resilient
to damage, and are in pristine condition.
The heavy plate gauntlets are made with metal.
You are certain that the heavy plate gauntlets weighs about 141
stones.
You are certain that the heavy plate gauntlets are worth exactly
400830 lirums.

@Starlear
While I'm not in Prime, and a blacksmith, not an armorsmith... allow me to suggest my own mix creation for armor, Illumium.
The stats on the alloy is 70 hard, 51 durability, 29 workability(nearly twice that of lumium), 47 electric, 72 thermal, and 88 physical(a 2 point drop from both lumium and histeel)
It comes with a density at 3.2
The concept behind this was to create a version of histeel that would allow tempering to have full effect by getting the durability of it above 50, with a minimum loss of physical, since that was where armor got its potency.
The secondary benefit is you give up 2 physical for double the workability of lumium, all while nearly doubling the amount you can stretch your lumium supply
The mix is made 3:1:1 Lumium, Covellite, HC Steel
LC chain gloves app to follow
The gloves look like they offer protection for the following areas:
right hand
left hand
You feel certain that some lumium-alloy chain gloves appear to impose trivial (2/15) maneuvering hindrance and insignificant (1/15) stealth hindrance, offering:
good (5/16) protection and very high (10/18) damage absorption for puncture attacks.
good (5/16) protection and very high (10/18) damage absorption for slice attacks.
good (5/16) protection and very high (10/18) damage absorption for impact attacks.
good (5/16) protection and very good (8/18) damage absorption for fire attacks.
good (5/16) protection and very good (8/18) damage absorption for cold attacks.
low (2/16) protection and fair (5/18) damage absorption for electrical attacks.
If you were only wearing some lumium-alloy chain gloves your maneuvering would be insignificantly hindered and your stealth would be minimally hindered.
But considering all the armor and shields you are wearing or carrying, you are currently lightly hindered and your stealth is somewhat hindered.
Hope it helps.

That's pretty good, but I think you would get a better weight-to-protection ratio with a 66%/33% mixture instead. Allow me to suggest a new mixture. I call it Malkienium.
A damite sense of of morbid humor is heavy plate armor.
You are certain it provides:
very good (-3/17) protection from insults and outstanding (16/17) absorption from insults
uncanny (X-men/17) protection from internet trolls and outstanding (16/17) absorption from internet trolls
amazing (Spider-Man/17) protection from board monitors and outstanding (16/17) absorption from board monitors.
A damite sense of morbid humor does not protect against fire, ice, or electricity, as intangible personality nuances do not conduct a current.
A damite sense of morbid humor is metal.
You are certain that a damite sense of morbid humor weighs exactly the burden of dying alone and unloved.
A damite sense of morbid humor is worthless.

I do love the sarcasm. :P
honestly, I'm well aware of the normal way of lightening or weighting a metal with oravir or lead/platinum/gold. This was my suggestion for those who were having trouble crafting pure lumium things, because the actual protection difference is minimal, and the increase in workability is significant.

I thought it was workability that affected tempering results? Now where's the post...

Workability is how hard it is to temper, durability determines how much benefit you get.
