I feel like it's not very realistic that claws don't improve claw damage and frankly, it would be cool if it did.
This comes up every once in a while.

I.e. A CLAW attack with the former would still only engage your normal fingers.
That said, the latter is known as a claw gauntlet, which could be something to suggest as an addition to DR. It could either be an armor template, a weapon template, or simply a special weapon available during a paid event like the blowguns.
