I agree. Maybe one of three things could happen.
1) You successfully yank out the bloodworm and continue on.
2) You yank out the bloodworm wildly and end up with a much worse wound.
3) You tear the worm in pieces and leave the head clamped around the artery thus increasing the chance of getting disease dramatically, but not aggravating the wound itself as the worm's head is still attached to the artery like a clamp.
Another thing I was thinking about with these lovely creatures, is something like worms spawning inside the leg if you leave them on too long or just as a random occurrence. Would be kinda neat to see a leg suddenly explode and tiny little worms fall out and skitter away coupled with a nice dose of rot flesh.
