I'm still doing pretty well in swamp trolls/pecs, but I'd really like something that drops more boxes.

Level 54 thief with 200s or better in weapons/defenses. I trolled the bestiary and didn't find much that sparked my interest so thought I'd ask here.

Orc scouts look like they might work, but the wiki implies they're all ranged users. That accurate? If so, I'm not sure about that, since I like training parry.

All of the other orcs are either 300+ ranks to start or ? to ? in range.

Yes, the scouts are ranged users. Just set your stances so you have some points towards parry, also. They do come to melee to attack you, and there are warcats there also.
