I have been gone a long while, and recently been back a few months. I need a few suggestions to hunt. Right now my MO is low, we talking about 300. Main weapon and defensives are at 370 with about 0-5 rank difference. I also train TM, but I doubt I can find something to train TM, so basically I am looking for something to help train my weapons and defensives so I can move to the next critter level, and next one after that, and so forth, so I can finally get my weapons and stuff caught up to my TM. If you need more infomation, let me know.

Gryphons should be good.

Agreed with gryphons: They cover a pretty wide range, depending on the tier.

I guess if my MO was better, I could do something better than Gryphons. I am going to assume you all are talking about the Shard one, since the Theren ones that teach, fly, and are annoying because it makes it harder to learn. I done fine in higher rank stuff, IE orc raiders. Mostly I am looking for something around the Boar Clan area. Gryphons are boring, but eh, I guess I gotta do what I gotta do.

Gryphons are good. I think I took them to about 475 Evasion (they soft capped at 450). They also soft cap MO at around 400, and weapons in general were semi slow leading up to the 400 mark.

I've noticed that a lot of the higher-level critters have special attacks- which makes them annoying at times.

Now, if you had help from a friendly cleric, there are a few critters in Maelshyyve's Abyss that you might find interesting. Keep in mind that I don't know how well they train, and that you will want to be careful about the shylvyycs because they cast Huldah's Pall and Curse of Zachriedek. But the mastiffs don't have any special attacks that I've seen.

Orc raiders are not higher than young gryphons, in my experience. And they certainly aren't better if you care about catching up your MO. I'm not familiar enough with Boar Clan and I HATE suggesting gryphons as the answer for every hunting problem, but young gryphons (either north or south) teach past 400 and will probably take good care of you if nothing better pops up.

Dragon Priest Sentials, are they in this range, or they much smaller?

Sentinals > Shalswar > Young Gryphons.

However, the differences are pretty minor. Just watch out for the sleep and naphtha arrows if you were thinking about training parry.

Orcs, Adan'f, Bristles will teach those ranges too, just a matter of taste. I think I did either Dobek or dolomar on Ratha in that range too if you are an island hopper. Personally I took young gryphons a good ways because I detest boxes and I'm too lazy to learn to type loot treasure. Cinder Beasts could be a good fit too, though cursed could be less fun for a war mage.

You could always just go down to shard and do gryphons there, then also pop up into shalswar to train TM if your saying you cannot in gryphons. They are right next to each other.
