Can a GM comment whether trolls are a related group of creatures, or just random nasties that someone slapped "troll" on?
It seems like most of the have some strange natural aspect to them, as evidenced by their deaths.

I assume that they are some type of related group of creatures. Not only because of the natural aspects that their deaths tend to show (as you pointed out) but there is also the "Troll slayer" axe you can get from Kanton's. That makes it feel more like it is a specific group and not just some random group that happened to ended up being called trolls.

Troll is a class of critter just like gremlin, leucro, gryphon, etc.
Mind you, I don't know how it works on the back end. Things like the troll slayer may just care if the noun of the thing you're targeting says 'troll'. There might not be some racial widget explicitly attached to the critter.
The teeth lands a solid (5/23) hit that pokes the teeth into Turul's rear end (more embarrassing than painful!).
