Are Sentinels supposed to be able to fire shots in the split second you are in a room? Twice now running through a room (literally no pause but loading as fast at the game allows) I've had a lowbie character get hit by the naphtha attack and it can be pretty devastating. I don't mind danger too much but that might be a bit too punishing.

I think the problem is that it's a special attack and not a true ranged attack, so they don't aim and give you time to escape like it is supposed to be. They should have to face and aim like other ranged attacks work. This would be a great QoL change for all those new free accounts when the passports are released and they can explore the whole game.

Yeah some kind of timing would be nice. My script ran me through the room so quick I was confused when I saw I was bleeding because I never even saw the attack between rooms. I had to scroll up and see where it all started.

Heh, this reminds me of when P5 first opened and the black goblins were essentially a lottery to see if you could get through to the cleric guild alive. You'd walk into a room... and suddenly be dead from 4+ axes insta-thrown at you.

Convincing the GMs it was actually an issue during the preview wasn't possible, but within a week of it going live in prime it was fixed after everyone and their dog started complaining about it.

This is definitely problematic; I'd love to see it improved, too.

On the subject of this area, going from no wounds to severe wounds in one hit is awful--

The Dragon Priest zealot riding the an armored shalswar snatches the triangular dagger attached to a fine steel chain dangling at its hip and begins spinning the blade wildly through the air. With a smooth snap of its wrist, the an armored shalswar sends the dagger flying towards Friendguybuddy in a blur of deadly steel!
Moving a moment to late, the triangular blade lands a heavy strike that rips into Friendguybuddy's chest. With a savage pull, the connected to the yanks upward on the chain connected to the dagger, tearing the blade from his flesh with a shower of bone and blood!

He has faint scuffing to the right arm, faint scuffing to the left leg, a shattered chest area with gaping wounds.

...between that and the fire that can half-destroy your armor and take 30% vitality even though you "ignore" every pulse, there's no wonder I've only ever seen one other person hunting here. I'm beginning to realize I might be an idiot for trying to stick it out. Is this truly a reasonable design overall?
