I voted. The MUD list seems extremely stable though, I smell vote rigging.

That's not entirely fair. Some games give an automated reminder to vote, with a clickthrough link in-game, etc.

They can't provide actual rewards, but they sure as hell can annoy you till you vote.

In all honesty, what's the point?

The other games:

A) Use automated nag timers in game
B) are free to play

DR cannot and/or will not do either. DR will never rank well on the page, and according to Kodius is relatively disliked, and is wildly inaccurately presented in the reviews section/forums there anyway.

Please stop with the negativity. I am working on the nag timers. It isn't a 5-minute effort, and usually gets pushed aside in favor of bug fixes and new development. This week I'll revisit it.

Of course DR will be disliked by the admins of other MUDs (which just so happen to be very active and eager to post there). And well, they too tend to be jaded by the shrinking of their own customer base... but I have received good feedback from new players and extra visibility can never hurt.

We all take the sustained game population very seriously. Just have a little faith please :)
