Greetings, folks...

I have the base information entered into a database I'm creating for the collectable cards. Though we don't have all of the information as of yet, I'll be tracking the rarity, the average market cost, description, and allow for folks to add comments to various cards.

Not being an avid card collector myself, what I'll need from the folks that are, are the descriptions of the various cards. If you could email any card descriptions you might have, it would greatly decrease the amount of time it'll take for me to get this online and public. :)

Please send to: wynder@warcry.com with the subject: [Card Desc]

Thanks!
Wynder/Faethe

PS -- If you haven't checked it out yet, we have a new spell database online. We need you to post your advice and experiences for others to read for the various spells! http://dr.warcry.com/spells/

You might want to correct your posted link next time, since it seems the correct link is http://dr.warcry.com/compendium/spells/

Also, a significant amount of the information you are looking for, for Warrior Mage spells, is in a recent post by Frogspawn over on the Warrior Mage boards.

Yes. Current Magic. The subject is something like "Your all the suck", and it was within the past few days, should show up if you open the last page of the topic.

Ask Tyrathia (or ask someone for her site) for a list of all cards with descriptions... Rarity she doesn't have...But descriptions she does.

Well, just finished the last bit of code on the Card Database -- all of the descriptions have been added and, even though the database is able to track rarity and cost, those both seem to be in an extreme state of flux at the moment, so that information won't be displayed at the moment.

However, much like the spell database, you are able to add comments and expound upon the various cards and descriptions. Feel free to check it out:

(Right link this time... yay!)

Cost and rarity is ALWAYS going to flux. That's why I didn't bother adding it to my site in the first place--I don't care to keep up with "What's the rarest card in the set this week?"

My site is at, as always, http://drfuturepast.com

I don't mean rarity in terms of supply and demand. With the current card games such as Magic: The Gathering, cards are assign a rarity and printing is based off of that.. 10 commons to every rare, 5 uncommons to every rare, 1 ultra rare for every 5 rares... something along those lines.

Once that has solidified or is well known, it's going to more affect the going rates of cards because, even though they may be difficult to find, it's going to be more common to find Card A than it will Card X.

I realize that. If the cards in DR are anything like the cards in Modus, and considering the entire thing was taken straight from there except the card names and descriptions I think it's fairly safe to say that that's the case, the rarity is not permanently assigned per card based on demand. It's based on supply--the cards that are the rarest in the treasure system will change over time based on the way the system is set up, not because #91 is assigned to be a rare, on a permanent basis. It changes. I've played Modus for long enough to know this. Which is why I didn't bother dealing with rarity/cost issues.

Just because a system resembles a system from another game, doesn't mean it is used line for line. ;) I played Modus for a while as well -- some of that time spent as a development GM and, although when I wrote systems it was specifically for one game, I tried to make it as configurable and expandable as possible.

Granted no one actually knows how the system will eventually evolve except for the gods, themselves.

I think the GMs might have an inkling. In the meantime, I'll go pray to Buddha for the answer...
