Has anybody else crashed?

I was hunting Sleazy Louts and using throwing rocks and throwing hammers and the lout died and I am now frozen. Tried logging in the the play.net/dr portal and that didn't work either.

Is this a planned outage that I just didn't know about or local? (I have all other internet working - husband is playin ED on another computer fine)
