First off, thanks for the excellent response! It is nice to know that we have such a large pool of people interested in GMing. :)

I'm putting a bit of information here as these questions are coming up via e-mail and my experience is that if one person is wondering, others are too. So...

1. Age issues: You MUST be 18 years old before you even apply to be a GM--if you want to be considered. It's one of those absolutes that can never be deviated from. So.. add "completing a GM application" to your 18th birthday activities, if you want. <g>

2. Decision process: I do realize that it can be challenging to not hear anything from us sometimes when you cast your application off. I'm looking into this issue some more and will try to see if we can maintain our system that is manageable and consistent with our policies while perhaps improving on the communication approach. Additionally, yes it does take a while to go through each application. It's far more complex than you might think. We are hoping to move ahead pretty quickly, though, so don't expect this to drag out for months. It's in the range of 6-8 weeks.

3. Application deadline: We don't have one, really. But I'd say if you are interested in the positions I've just posted, please get your application in within the next 7-10 days. I just have only so many hours in my day to go through things before we have to start interviewing and so on. And someone recently told me that I'm supposed to eat and sleep each day. Go figure.

4. Formatting issues: I know that some of you spent a lot of time perfecting your application and the system insensitively stripped it away! I'm sorry about that. Don't worry. We look at how you are expressing yourself more than looking at how it looks formatting wise.

I think that's it.

Cheers!
