If so, we need you!

We're looking to hire some qualified, exceptional people to help us monitor our beloved Boards.

If you've ever wondered what it was like to work in the DR staff pool, being a Board Monitor is a great way to do it! There isn't a major time commitment required and you get some fabulous in-game perks for your service! AND you get to work with some of the nicest folks around.

The Board Monitors are encouraged to facilitate productive communication on the Boards, rather than be purely a policing entity. Most Board Monitors read the Prime and designated Board Monitors service the Platinum Message Boards, as well as report on certain folders within The Fallen Boards.

Some important job requirements for a Board Monitor:

Job Requirements:

-- Monitors should have a basic understanding of the message board system and the current policies involved with using the system; should be able to enforce these regulations.

-- Monitors must be able to maintain a daily presence on the message boards.

-- Monitors must be able to devote a minimum of 10 hours a week to the message boards.

-- Monitors may be asked to compile reports on various folders, to submit to the associated Game Masters and Guild Liaisons.

-- Monitors will be the front line position for addressing customer concerns in regard to the message boards (on mechanics and technicalities), and as such, must be able to maintain a professional attitude.

-- Monitors should be able to offer suggestions to their coworkers for better organization of the message boards to help maintain an easy-to-read system.

After a period of 6 months on the Boards team, there is also an opportunity for the Board Monitor to become a part of the Host team (time allowing).

Each Board Monitor is given a special account from which to work and it is with this account that Board Monitors are given opportunities to participate in quest testing as well as participation in major in-game events. Senior Board Monitors also help test systems under development.

To be eligible for an interview you must:

a) have had an active account with Dragonrealms (playing), for the past 12 months.

b) have a clean record for a minimum of 12 months (no warns or billing problems). Billing problems mean you don't have an outstanding debt with Simutronics, not necessarily a one month problem with a credit card or check. If you've consistently bounced checks, then that constitutes a billing problem.

c) be able to work at least 10 hours a week (with more or less a daily reading presence).

d) have sole access to your account(s), i.e. no shared accounts.

Some tips to be sure your application looks its best:

1) Use good grammar and spelling.
2) Be sure to put in an email address that is valid and will properly process play.net and gmail addresses.
3) Be honest about your warnings - this is a maker or breaker.
4) Sell yourself!

If you feel you fit the bill and can say yes to the above requirements, please do fill out the GameHost application form (http://www.play.net/dr/apply/apply.asp) and be sure to indicate that the application is for a Board Monitor position.

Also, if you have applied before, please re-submit an updated application so that we have the most up-to-date information about you.

We hope to hear from you soon!
