I just posted this information on the main game calendar:
March 14, 2006:
All About Becoming a GM--Hiring Seminar, 10 pm ET, Helena's office (look for a gate leading to a Castle off of the Southern Trade Route--close to the gondola platform). We will try to get to everyone in time, but it may not be possible.
I've not done a seminar like this in the game before so this may be a roaring success or a painful disaster. But if you have a question about your application or about becoming a GM, please drop by.

I haven't checked it yet today, but last night when you clicked on it on the calendar it basically came up blank except for the title of the event.

What they said, but remember that's the total price and it's only $10 more if you are premium. Personally I wish it was in Prime too. ;). If you have questions about it I suggest you head over to the Plat folder (think it's in this area somewhere).

I know, originally there was plans for it in Prime but whenever I've asked it scared the GMs ;). ALAE in Plat has just been revamped and they are just getting started again so if they ever do bring it to Prime it might be a long time coming.

Thanks for the update on that. I hadn't even looked at the ALAE page until early this year because I thought it was just for Plat folks. I would love...love...to be involved with that, however I just don't think I have it in me to start all over again with a new character. If we get the chance in Premium to do it, I have all kinds of ways I'll work the 'training' into Kyth's story, however I'm not dedicated enough to start up a new character for it...no matter how fun it would be!

btw the Plat folder is in the 'Discussions with DragonRealms...' folder same as this one.

Truth be told, my highest character in Plat is only 13th. I play mostly in Prime, joined Plat 3 years ago and stayed there hoping ALAE would be revamped soon (evidently it needed 'fixing' around the time I was eligible to join, go figure) and the waiting paid off. My ALAE member is my original character in Plat but she is still a commoner (with around 5th circle skills). So yes, you can join Plat, rarely play there but still join ALAE after your 90 days of being part of Plat.
Hope you do decide to join us and stay ;).
