While there isn't a ton to spend LTB's on outside of alterations, bonding potions, and perma gweths selling LTB's to me would really cheapen the Premium subscription. Selling the bonuses people pay monthly to receive but adding nothing to what the higher paying customer base is receiving just alienates the people that pay higher all the time.

Why don't you just sell alterations then instead. Why not just sell "Paying To Get Stuff Higher Paying People Get Points" or PTGSHPGP'S
The revenue this can generate and F2P people spend on bonuses and such are great for the game. But NOT UPGRADING OR DOING ANYTHING special for your higher paying Premium and Plat players to justify the cost of the subs while catering to free players that might turn into paying really should be looked at. Is it better to make a few bucks for a few months or have loyal 40 and 50 bucks a month subscribers? That's your business model to review.

While there may be some resentment in the LTB for sale, if priced right it still does not detract from premium. For example, with premium you get X amount of LTB, extra characters, the right to houses, premium areas/merchants, etc. The cost for straight buying LTB should be costly, so that premium is still the better deal by far, but there is nothing wrong with letting people who want to spend money spend it as long as LTB purchases are mostly cosmetic. Now, if LTB gives access to unique materials, that would be a bad situation.
Basically, if the LTB cost for a month worth of LTBs was $20+, premium is still a good deal due to it also containing numerous other advantages.

Can't you not even access the LTB store unless you're premium? I didn't think you could. Not that it's a huge hurdle, but someone would have to sign up for premium just to buy and use the LTB points if they are sold.

If it were priced like this then I highly doubt non-premium people would consider paying for them since 100 LTB is what you get a month at premium (200 a month as Platinum)

I think LTBs (and premium perks overall) need a massive update as a whole. The vast majority of the things you can spend LTBs on is woefully antiquated. There shouldn't be moderate slice HE's for 600 points for sale there. Fill the bungalow with worthwhile items with modern appraisals and you increase the value of the LTB and premium/platinum subscription and make it an easier decision for anyone considering an upgraded subscription.
LTB's themselves are long term benefits of Premium/Platinum and they should remain so.
As far as selling LTB scroll style alterations for simucoins, I think that's a great idea. I purchased a ticket to the Taisidon Safari based entirely on the alteration included.

I disagree. What you're forgetting is that in the past when some specific Premium Benefits required either uninterrupted time as Premium or required a certain number of months Premium before someone gained access to a perk, we've always allowed folks to call in and pay to backdate their subscription.
This wouldn't be anything new and it would only be removing the extra step of having to go through the billing office to do the exact same thing.

I thought a while back at one of our monthly platinum meetings this was mentioned as something on someones list. But that is a huge undertaking of tweaks and upgrading and QC items and while seems like would be simple, behind the scenes it is prob a HUGE task.
Since LTB's aren't mirotrans I started a thread thereon random ideas that could make it so Premium actually was Premium again and not just feel like a Comcast Bundle package of basic/F2P.

If you mean paying to get the time for the additional vault room, portalz, etc that is fine to me AS LONG AS PREMIUM/PLAT subscribers. I have 35 months in Platinum. I need 60 for our portalz. Have I thought about paying ahead to get them? Yes I have. Just 1248.75 is a few car payments so figure better spent there right now ;)

Make a survey like the great ones you have done lately and send that out just to Premium/Plat. Ask them anonymously how they like our benefits being butchered and sold off chunk by chunk without any additional benefits coming our way. Bet you get a pretty negative response that most players don't want to put on the boards.

Are you saying you're ok with your being able to pay forwards to get a benefit you haven't earned yet, but not OK with someone else wanting to pay backwards to get a benefit they haven't had a chance to earn?

I'm fine with this idea, but only if the LTB points come at a discount rate compared to a regular subscription. Part of the 'fees' for being prem/plat are getting the extra type ahead line, the extra hunting areas, more vault space, more character slots, and so on.
If LTB points cost 40$ for 100, or 50$ for 200, then it's unreasonable. Because you're not also getting those game perks.

I asked if it would be possible to sell LTB points in the simucoin store so when I upgrade from my F2P account status and I become a premium member I could be able to buy some of the neat items from the shop and such. As pointed out a person would need to be a premium status player in order to spend these LTB points so it ends up being a Win/Win. Simu gets paided for the points and gets paid for the player to be premium. Someone doing this does not cheapen your game play experience. Being premium is no different than being a paid member in other MMOs that have stores and they give you a monthly few hundred store credits for being a paying member.
