Interesting thread. Striderr, the only problem I see with your name is the fact that you are a ranger in DR. The way I see it, people don't choose their names when they join a guild, your parents choose it for the newborn they are faced with upon your birth. Newborns have no guild -- I don't see a whole lot of folks naming their kids Cardiologist in RL, know what I mean? And even then, it's my OOC knowledge of Aragorn from LOTR that causes me to know it's a ranger with a famous ranger name, it's not as blatant as some.

From the general time period these types of games are based on, the various cultures often used the two-name system. You'd get a child/birth name bestowed upon you by your parents and when you became of age you'd choose your own name. It was considered a grave insult for someone not of your family (anyone on your generational plane or earlier, at least) to call you by your birth name once you were of age. If your sons/daughters/nieces/nephews called you by your birth name then it was just rude and grounds for a thrashing/boxing of the ears/etc.

Regular is good, Code Red is great, Citrus Blast Blows, Live Wire is the greatest!(even if it does kinda taste like orange jello.)

As a Mountain Dew conoisseur, I've loved Regular since I was too short to reach the coin slot in the pop machine. Code Red stinks. One taste and the cheap two-liter went in the trash. LiveWire completely replaced Regular on my shelves. Pitch Black tastes better when you heat it up a bit before chilling and drinking. I found that out by accident.
Wow, you are all hard-core soda-head addicted freaks. I can't stand any of the crappy spin-off Mountain Dew products and I hope they all go the way of Nu-Coke in about the same timeframe. Furthermore, where I come from, folks drink SunDrop (which has more caffine than the Dew if that's possible), and if you say Mountain Dew, you're talking about mountain dew, or the nearest high-quality local shine, if you know what I mean. The only thing I use soda for is mixers, and there are only three types: Clear, yellow, and dark. And the "dark" flavor had better taste like bittersweet cola, or heads are gonna roll when my whiskey or rum is wasted.
