So now that the premies got thier discount, can those of us who dont care about paying the full amount get a last name now? Please? Hanryu is starting to foam and froth at the mouth and I'm on the verge of joining him....

Not at all sure this is the right folder to ask in... but seems close.

So I have a newb on my second account who I want to reroll, but I want to keep the name. Simple.

However I want to reroll him on my primary account. So I was planning to delete him on the second account and just make the character over on my primary account, but I realized that I might end up accidentally protecting the name against myself if I do this.

Anyone know the nitty gritty over how first names are protected?

You need to retire the character before the name is freed up again. All deleting the slot does is remove the link from the play.net website and SGE.

If you are that concerned, just transfer the character from Account B to account A.

I'm not concerned about to spend the cash. I mean the character is an untrained commoner, just a name I like.

And yeah, bottom line, I was confirming that retire would free up the name to anyone again so I could snag it on my primary account (I know deleting doesn't do it).

to be truely safe you should do an assist first, just in case they might otherwise not let you use the name. <in case you get into a "grandfathered" type situation.

I've only had the other commoner like two weeks - I don't think it'll be a grandfathered situation.
